At least 2 US agencies with court dates for Thurs and Fri (23rd and 24th) told their clients that court was canceled these days due to no MOWA letters, and their court dates have been postponed. One agency said it was because MOWA decided to open today, July 24th, instead of yesterday as planned.

  4. I also heard that a family passed court Friday. It was for a relinquishment case, but hopefully it means things will go smoothly next week for all the scheduled abandonment cases.

  5. Mowa opened on the 23rd so some agency is making things up. They may not have been writing letters, but they were open!

  6. 9:40, This was a relinquishment case also. Has anyone received any more courtdates. I guess our agency handed over all of our cases 2 weeks ago, and only a handful of cases received court dates. We haven't heard anymore. I'm just wondering if they are going to be doing 30-35 cases/day, where are all the scheduled court dates? I've had my referral for a year and total time has been 2 yrs. I am just tired and want this to be over. Sorry for venting. I'm doing okay. Congrats to the people who passed and praying for those who have upcoming court dates!

  7. I got more information on the family that passed court Friday. They alreay had their MOWA letter so it didn't matter if MOWA was open or not. Anon 8:24, do you know if the family you're thinking of already had their letter? And I'm sorry you don't have a court date yet and sorry you've been waiting sooo long since referral! :-(

  8. I'm not sure. They just were told to bring the birthmom in, so maybe they didn't need MOWA.
