I would hope the judge wouldn't give a court date during the rainy season closure, so maybe this is a good sign that it won't start until after the 9th (unless they haven't made their decision on when to close yet).
They do not. In their email, they said they were scheduled to get their MOWA letter the day before their court date (which shouldn't be a problem since this will be after MOWA reopens).
The court has given people in my agency wrong dates before. They schedule them for national holidays, weekends, etc, and then once the day comes there's no one there. So dumb. Watch us all get dates for when the court is closed for rainy season.
Is someone writing a book on this situation? Nobody would believe it anyway. This whole thing is nuts! Seriously! I truly hope that this is all straightened out soon!
Our European agency just call us and they give court date for the 28 of july, and they say that the MOWA will write the letter the date before, on the 27, our agency try to find out tickets plane for the 6 of Agoust, and they say that is a little bit difficult.
Today we are VERY VERY HAPPY. We hope that the 28 of july we have good luck.
We get information from our agency today that investigation is not over because nobody knows what was the result, maybe there has been found something suspicious.
MOWA will be open June 24th, but it doensn´t mean that they will write acceptance letters for abandonment cases for sure. We can only hope that. Nobody knows when this will be really over.
It´s amasing that everybody will get different kinds a information.
This blog was started in May 2009, when a hold was placed on the adoption of children who were found abandoned within the city of Addis. The hold personally affected hundreds of prospective adoptive families world-wide. These families were soon disheartened by the lack of news on the investigation, with some agencies getting and passing on more information than others. This blog was started as a compilation of any and all information we could gather about the investigation into Addis abandonment cases. Since that time, this blog has evolved to include any information pertinent to Ethiopian adoption. I post information that agencies give to their clients, with all sources remaining anonymous. I rely solely on PAPs and APs of the various agencies to share what they are being told. If you have any information from your agency on any aspect of Ethiopian adoption that you'd like to share, please email me at ethioadoption@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteDo you know whether these cases have already a MOWA letter?

ReplyDeleteWe were told courts close 8/7 by our agency director.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Moreover, it is quite normal for MOWA to write the letters the day before or on court day.
ReplyDeleteAugust 9th is a Sunday???
