A US agency that previously said the courts had cancelled their annual closure is reporting that they have decided to close on Aug. 21st, and will reopen sometime the first week of October. They decided to delay their closure because of MOWA's current closing. I've updated my summary below.

  1. Thank you for the information.
I was so much hoping that they would not close in September as well :-(
This aren`t good news for me at all.
Congratulations to everyone who has their new court dates in August.

  2. I don't know if it is just my computer or the website but when I go to the State Department site, it looks like they have moved the adoption alert down and there is a blank space above it. What doesthat mean? Something tells me it is a good sign!

  3. It seems to be your computer.
I can still see the same pages and announcements as before.

  5. I cannot wait to hear if MOWA starts to write letters for the abandonment cases when they open back up. Please report any info as soon as anyone hears!

  7. They haven't written any new letters for abandonment cases yet, have they?

I am sure if they are passing cases who had the letters written from before the ban.... then they will start to write new ones. After everything we have been through, my paranoias are getting to me!

  8. At this point, I am concerned that the wind will blow the wrong way and cause a delay. I think everyone is probably having paranoia issues...you are not alone!
