Another US agency today is reporting that there won’t be an official decision from the court for another 2 weeks. This is the agency that has been keeping us updated about a meeting with the orphanage directors. The orphanage directors are supposed to call the office of the court in the next 2 weeks to find out the decision.

*Note: There is some conflicting information from the various agencies as far as a timeline for an official decision:
-2 US agencies and 1 European agency have told their clients it will be 2 weeks.
-1 US agency gave a deadline of July 2nd
-2 European agencies say there is a meeting this Friday to discuss a decision

It is possible that the 2 week timeline and the July 2nd timeline are the same information (depending on when the “2 week” wait began), and that the meeting on Friday is something different. We’ll just have to wait and see what unfolds.

  1. What the hell are they waiting for?
I am afraid they are just waiting for the court closure :-(

  2. This is a good summary of the current meeting confusion. Ok, I will try to keep patient, of course, I do not have another opportunity. ;-(

  3. oops accidently deleted my comment. I had originally said that I think they have discovered how many of us there actually are and now are not sure what to do with all of us so they are trying to figure out how to not have a rush on the courts :)

  4. Ugh, I could totally see them saying "We'll just deal with all these cases after the closure". If they're not even making a decision on how to proceed until early July, it's not looking good for all of us who need court dates.

  5. I think they are making the decisions over the next 2 weeks and then they will announce the resolution. I have to believe they want to get us through before closure which may mean new familes applying may be the ones getting stuck in closure. I feel for those families but our kids have waited long enough

  6. I sincerely hope they will resolve the issue with the impact on these children who have been waiting as their first consideration. Whether the decision on how to hear the cases comes on July 2nd or in two weeks from the past Monday, I just want that decision to reflect what's in the best interest of these children.

  7. Ok, this might be a silly question, but I just want to put it out there. Does everyone feel at this point that its just a matter of us getting new court dates and proceeding from there? OR does anyone have concerns that we might they say we might not be able to adopt these babies/children. Maybe I am letting my fears just go out of control.

  8. These are just your fears. We will adopt those babies, it's just a matter of time. I a very confident!

  10. no its a matter of time- We may not like that they are slow as can be but they have the best interset of these children in mind and them sitting in an orphanage for the rest of their lives is not in their best interest

  11. Just want to say how much I appreciate this blog and how amazing it is that we can network from all over the US and Europe for info. Thank you to everyone who is contributing. Even though the news is frustrating, it is still news, and better than being completely in the dark.
