An email:

Just wanted to let you know that I have heard from two reputable sources that the investigation is narrowing to the orphanages in which the scandal took place. Additional pending cases will not be investigated. There is no clue as to when impacted cases will begin to be heard though. This is good progress.

  1. What do you mean by "additional pending cases will not be heard"?
Is this progress?? Does this mean they are getting ready to start hearing the abandonment cases from the orphanages and agencies that were NOT involved??? Oh i hope so!

  2. cool..Where did you hear that and which were the orphanages? Are they accepting new cases? That is what we are waiting on. We were referred and our rep went to open our case at court and get us a court date the day they said no more abandonment cases would be accpeted. However, she was from a govt orphanage and then assigned to our agencies transitional home. If/when all this passes we will be re-referred with her. hopefully

  3. Since the sources wish to remain anonymous at this time, I don't have an agency backing on this, so accept it as a rumor for now. I don't think they know which orphanages are involved. I hope this is true!

  4. According to an official that I spoke to yesterday they do know which orphanages are involved and which kids are involved. They just want to make sure they do not miss anything and that is why they are keeping the remaining NGO's closed until all information is out. They do not want to open an NGO to find out they actually were involved and have to close it back up. I also know that they are in no way playing with the idea of closing country, it is not even on their radar.

  5. The organizations in question know who they are, so you should have assurances from the group you are working with that they are not involved in this.
